Description

North Rustico Beach is one of the shorter beach walks on the island at just around one kilometer. It is probably one of the least popular beaches in the park so a great place to take a walk away from the crowds. At one end of the beach is a jetty that protects the harbour. At the other end the beach turns into red cliffs. From this side of the beach you can climb up and access the Gulf Shore Way West, a wide, paved trail that continues along the top of the cliffs.

Directions

At the main intersection in North Rustico turn onto Harbourview Drive and then quickly turn left onto Church Hill Avenue. Drive for 1.1 kilometers. You will be passing by a gatehouse and entering Prince Edward Island National Park. If you haven't already bought a park pass stop at the kiosk.

Just after the kiosk turn right into Beach Lane. There is parking along the start of Beach Lane. Park here and access the beach on the other side of the road. You can also drive 850 meters (road turns to gravel) to the end of Beach Lane and you will come to a parking lot. The access to the beach is at the far end of the parking lot.
